About Us

Little Maroons is a parent-supported childcare cooperative operating from a child-led, African-centered curriculum rooted in indigenous wisdom. We are located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.

What's New at Little Maroons?

We are accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year and the 2017 Summer. We service students ages 2.9 through 6 years old for our preschool, kindergarten and first grade program. We also provide our Aya Program (Before and After School) for school age children. If you are interested in enrolling your child, please contact us to schedule a visit.

At Little Maroons, we believe that much can be learned outside of the classroom. We venture outside of our school and into our community at least once a week to see what wonders can be found in the world. We go outside daily to the playground or community walks or the market, but on trip days we go farther! Below is a list of some of the places we've been.
